Baltic Research Programme’s mid-term conference will take place on October 18-19 in Riga!

The conference “Collaborative Experiences: Shaping the Research Future” will bring together representatives from the EEA/Norway Research and Education Programme – projects’ promoters and partners from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Norway, and Iceland, also representatives from the administrative staff of the programme to discuss ways to shape the future based on our experiences with the programme so far. This conference aims to explore the diverse and shared experiences of the Research and Education programme projects and to focus on the possibilities and necessities for the future.

On October 18, the Conference participants will have a great opportunity to visit various Latvian Baltic Research Programme’s projects. To join the visits, a prior is necessary. A more formal part of the Conference on October 19 will emphasise the collective and distinct knowledge acquired through this programme, with the goal of mutual learning and self-reflection through discussions and workshops.

As the formal part of the Conference comes to a close, there will be group discussions centred around the main priorities of the Baltic Research Programme and its upcoming period. This is your chance to connect with representatives from other projects and delve into essential topics such as the impact of science, research priorities (topics), creating links with educational activities, and ensuring continued collaboration in other formats/programs.

Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity and register for the conference via this  REGISTRATION FORM. This conference will be held in a hybrid format (virtual and physical). Venue: Radisson Blu Daugava. Please register by 10.00 o’clock on October 9.

This conference is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia (programme operator) in collaboration with the Latvian Science Council (implementing agency).

The objectives of the EEA and Norway Grants Baltic Research Programme are enhanced research-based knowledge and human resources development in Latvia by promoting mobility of students and staff in higher education and bilateral cooperation in research between Latvia, Donor States, Estonia, and Lithuania. Total programme grant is EUR 17 058 824 including EEA/Norway Grant EUR 14 500 000 and national co-financing EUR 2 558 824. The implementation period ends on April 30 of 2024.
