The State Education Development Agency (SEDA) invites project implementers of the “Innovation Centers” activity under the European Economic Area and the Norwegian grant programme (hereinafter – the EEA and Norwegian grants) for the period 2014-2021 to apply for additional funding in order to achieve additional results and outcomes. A total of EUR 141 454,00 funding is available.
Project implementers can submit a request for amendments to the project agreement for receiving an additional funding of EUR 35 363,50 per project for additional implementation for the activities already included in the project or implementation of a new activity, in both cases providing the achievement of additional results and outcome indicators. The use of additional funding is subject to all applicable conditions regarding supported activities, eligible costs, as well as non-eligible expenses. The project implementer must provide co-financing in the amount of 10 per cent of the amount allocated for the achievement of additional results and outcome indicators.
In order to apply for additional funding, project implementers must fill in and send to info@viaa.gov.lv e-mail by 18th of October 2023:
VIAA will evaluate the requests for amendments within 10 working days from the end of the deadline for submitting documents in accordance with the developed evaluation form. VIAA’s procedure for granting additional funding is published on the unified website of the EEA and Norwegian grants https://eeagrants.lv under the section “Guidelines and informative materials of the Innovation centres activity”.
The activity “Innovation centers” is one of the components of the “Research and Education” programme, which is financially supported by the EEA and Norway Grants programme. The programme is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia and SEDA. The activity aims at enhancing knowledge development in the STEM fields, as well as to promoting careers by developing new education and training programmes for teachers, students, and students in STEM.
