On July 1 and 2, the annual LAMPA conversation festival will take place in Cēsis, where the State Education Development Agency (VIAA) and European Economic Area and Norway Grants (EEA/NO) will organize conversation about the need for cooperation between various stakeholders in order to successfully contribute to the long-term development of STEM in Latvia.
Saturday, July 2, from 11.00 to 12.30 on the “State House” stage in the conversation “How teamwork can improve the development of STEM in Latvia?” we will discuss the development and importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in Latvia, misconceptions about the complexity of these fields and cooperation between Latvian innovation centers, teachers and parents – three important players who could successfully contribute in the long run for the STEM development in Latvia and to create interest in young people. How to achieve this? Is it possible? How to establish a close enough long-term cooperation for the child to benefit?
The conversation is a part of bigger event organized by the Goverment of Latvia – ”Cooperation – submission, concessions or is it a way to a mutually beneficial result?”, where visitors will have access to a variety of talks and activities, including the Ministry of Economics, the Ministry of Education and Science, the State Land Service and the Ministry of Transport.
