€ 11 million will be available for remediation of historically polluted sites

On 5th of June 2020, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (MEPRD) announces the Open Call supported by the Norwegian grant for the remediation of historically polluted sites.

The aim of the Open Call is to implement at least three projects for remediation of historically contaminated sites with a view to improving the quality of the environment in and around contaminated sites and to prevent public health hazard.

The Open Call will be launched on 5th of June 2020 and must be submitted till the 7th of December 2020. The total budget available from programme “Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation and Environment”, including co-financing from Norwegian grant, for implementation of the projects is € 11 million. The minimum admissible Programme budget per project shall be € 1 million and the maximum shall be € 4 350 000.
