Latvian higher education institutions informed about the 2nd Call of Scholarship activity

On March 2nd State Education Development Agency (VIAA) informed potential project implementors about the 2nd Call of the European Economic Area grants (EEA) activity “Scholarships”. 50 representatives from Latvian higher education institutions applied to seminar and 30 of them attended it.


Latvian higher education institutions can apply for the call from February 15 to April 19. Applicants are invited to visit eeagrants.lv websites sections project contests and documents, where guidelines, documents and broader information can be found about the submittion process.

The budget for this call is 335 986 euros. From total budget EEA funding is 285 588,10 euros and Latvian State funding reaches 50 397,90 euros. Approved projects will be able to obtain from 10 000 līdz 200 000 euros.

The call is organized by VIAA in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Norwegian Directorate of Higher Education and Skills. Scholarships are funded by European Economic Area (EEA) grants.
