State Education Development Agency Republic of Latvia (VIAA) informs about the technical amendments made to European Economic Area and Norway (EEA / N) Baltic Research Program document “Guidelines for Project Applicants” Annex 2 of the regulations for the selection of Project Applications for the 3rd Call for Proposals.
Annexe 2 of the Project Application Regulations, prepared in English, specify 3.1. the conditions specified in the section regarding the direct eligible costs of the project: travel costs, other costs, subcontracting. Amendments have been made so that the conditions specified in Annex 2 to the Project Application Selection Regulations fully comply with the Cabinet of Ministry Regulation No. 333 “Regulations for the Implementation of the Activities“ Baltic Research Program ” and “Scholarships”of the Financial Instrument of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the Period 2014-2021 “Research and Education” 22.1. as set out in subparagraph.
The revised Annex 2 “Guidelines for Project Applicants” is available both in the documents section and in section 3rd Baltic Research Program Call for Proposals.

The Baltic Research Program is one of the activities of the EEA / N Program “Research and Education” for the period 2014-2021, which strengthens co-operation between the Baltic States in research. The total funding of the program is 23.5 million. 7,541,272 euros have been allocated for the Latvian competition.
The EEA Grant Program “Research and Education” is managed by the Ministry of Education and Science, which is responsible for the implementation of the program in Latvia. In its turn, VIAA, as the implementer of the program, selects project applications, makes a decision on approval of project applications, enters into an agreement with the co-financing recipient and performs supervision and control of the implementation of projects co-financed by the program.
