The Norway Grants programme “Correctional Services” implementation regulations entry into force

On 5 April 2019 regulations on implementing of the Norway Grants 2014–2021 programme “Correctional Services” entered into force which determines the procedures for the implementation of Programme.

On Friday, 5 April 2019, regulations on implementing of the Norway Grants 2014–2021 programme “Correctional Services” (hereinafter – Programme) drawn up by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia entered into force.

On 2 April 2019 the Cabinet of Ministers revised and supported the project of regulations “Regulations on the Norway Grants 2014–2021 programme “Correctional Services” implementation” (hereinafter – Regulations) developed by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia.

The implementation Regulations for the Norway Grants 2014–2021 programme determine the objectives of Programme and the results to be achieved, define Programme operator and its responsibilities, pre-defined project applicant, supported activities, conditions for eligibility of costs and procedures for the implementation of activities of the bilateral cooperation fund.

The Law on the Management of the European Economic Area and the Norway Grants and the Regulations for 2014–2021 shall determine the procedures for the implementation of Programme.
